Our vision is a world where all people live free of the burden of drug abuse. DFAF is a non-governmental organization in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, more than 21 million Americans are identified as having a substance use disorder, yet only 12 percent of those individuals received the care needed through treatment services. Recent data reveals that the number of people in the United States who died from drug overdoses increased 42 percent in 2020 over the previous year. Expanding prevention and treatment services is more important now than ever!
